Updates, Delays, and Apologies

Well, it’s been a rough couple of months for me personally and so I’ve been dreadfully absent for a little while now. For that I really apologize. This post is a hard one for me to write because I’m always on time, always on deadline…and yet, suddenly, I find myself behind.

I’d rather not go into details on all of the ‘whys’ I’ve been gone, but I truly am sorry. (I will say, while I’m going to read this post over and over before I publish it here… I’m having typos galore right now. I had a huge wooden sliver jabbed under my right thumbnail last Friday that I had to have removed, and well, I still can’t spacebar correctly. It’s driving me nuts and making it incredibly difficult to type. So if any slip through in this post, I’m sorry.)

Now, I have some good news and some bad news, so let’s go with the good first, shall we?

Cold Mercy, Northern Wolves #1 should be available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords before Christmas! I’ll actually be starting the process of uploading it this weekend, so stay tuned for a newsletter from me shortly. :) I really hope you guys enjoy this book, Bay and Eden hold a special place in my heart, as do the other characters that will pop up in this series. Oh, and what’s that, you haven’t seen the cover art yet?

Well, who am I to keep you waiting?

Sexy isn’t it? And I love Bay’s broody expression on it.

Hounded, Shifter Town Enforcement #1 went through a final edit before I start looking into getting it and Cry Sanctuary into print formats. But, it also got a new cover remake. Because when I was doing up the mocks for Pale Moon Cry and Big Cats Don’t Purr’s cover designs, I realized it was the only one in the series that didn’t match up in the side-by-side comparison. So I did some rearranging…

The bad news…

Pale Moon Cry is dreadfully behind schedule. It was supposed to release last month, but even aside from life’s curveballs, this little novella is determined to put me through the wringer. Sadly, it’s still laboring in revisions. So I’ve had to push back its release until mid-January 2013. Which kills me and I’m sorry. However, you can expect a cover reveal for this coming in the next week or two. I apologize to you guys. I hope in the end, the extra wait on Pale Moon Cry is worth it. I’m doing my best to make sure it’s the strongest as it can be. :)

Six Sentence Sunday – Pale Moon Cry #2

This week’s six is another snippet from my Shifter Town Enforcement novella, Pale Moon Cry. It’s a paranormal romance with a bit of suspense to it. A bit of background about this snippet. Mora/Mo and Cade are divorced, this is the first time they’ve seen each other in awhile. Obviously the have some issues that still linger…one of them being the neighborhood she lives and works in and Cade being the shifter equivalent of a cop. (And ‘Smoke’ is Mo’s pet gremlin).

Smoke still slumbered on the desk, most likely where he’d stay for the night, and so Cade headed up the stairs into the apartment above. The shower was still running, the radio blaring from inside the bathroom, and Cade had to close his eyes on the familiar curl of anger in his gut. She lived here. Less than a block from where they’d had to shoot a drugged out sixteen-year-old boy. Less than two blocks from the riot they’d had a few months back.

And she showered with the radio on, the door to her apartment unlocked.

Be sure to check out the other Six Sentence Sunday participants as well!
