Updates, Delays, and Apologies

Well, it’s been a rough couple of months for me personally and so I’ve been dreadfully absent for a little while now. For that I really apologize. This post is a hard one for me to write because I’m always on time, always on deadline…and yet, suddenly, I find myself behind.

I’d rather not go into details on all of the ‘whys’ I’ve been gone, but I truly am sorry. (I will say, while I’m going to read this post over and over before I publish it here… I’m having typos galore right now. I had a huge wooden sliver jabbed under my right thumbnail last Friday that I had to have removed, and well, I still can’t spacebar correctly. It’s driving me nuts and making it incredibly difficult to type. So if any slip through in this post, I’m sorry.)

Now, I have some good news and some bad news, so let’s go with the good first, shall we?

Cold Mercy, Northern Wolves #1 should be available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords before Christmas! I’ll actually be starting the process of uploading it this weekend, so stay tuned for a newsletter from me shortly. :) I really hope you guys enjoy this book, Bay and Eden hold a special place in my heart, as do the other characters that will pop up in this series. Oh, and what’s that, you haven’t seen the cover art yet?

Hounded, Shifter Town Enforcement #1 went through a final edit before I start looking into getting it and Cry Sanctuary into print formats. But, it also got a new cover remake. Because when I was doing up the mocks for Pale Moon Cry and Big Cats Don’t Purr’s cover designs, I realized it was the only one in the series that didn’t match up in the side-by-side comparison. So I did some rearranging…

The bad news…

Pale Moon Cry is dreadfully behind schedule. It was supposed to release last month, but even aside from life’s curveballs, this little novella is determined to put me through the wringer. Sadly, it’s still laboring in revisions. So I’ve had to push back its release until mid-January 2013. Which kills me and I’m sorry. However, you can expect a cover reveal for this coming in the next week or two. I apologize to you guys. I hope in the end, the extra wait on Pale Moon Cry is worth it. I’m doing my best to make sure it’s the strongest as it can be. :)

Cry Sanctuary Blog Tour!

A little late today, but it’s been a long weekend with a sick dog (Moose was down for the count this weekend, poor girl), but today marks the first day in Cry Sanctuary, Shifter Town Enforcement #2′s blog tour. Thanks once again to Roxanne from Bewitching Book Tours for setting up a fabulous tour.

October Update

Been a little while since I poked my head in here and for that I’m sorry! Just thought I’d give everyone a head’s up on progress behind-the-scenes, as I have been working.

Things Coming Up This Month:

  • Just Romantic Suspense ad for Cry Sanctuary! This will be up for the whole month of October, it started today.
  • Cry Sanctuary blog tour!! This starts October 8th and runs through the 15th! Once again, the tour will be through the FANTASTIC Bewitching Book Tours. I’ll be blogging here daily throughout the tour to keep everyone up to date on where to go for the tour. AND I’ll be giving out some new bookmarks here so stay tuned. (If you want a peek, look below!)
  • I’ll also be interviewed over at Sizzling Hot Books on the 25th for their Bump in the Night Festival with a giveaway. Be sure to check them out all month long for chances to win!

Currently Working On:

  • Northern Wolves Book 1, Cold Mercy. Loving this book! Look for it in December!! It’s more paranormal romance than paranormal romantic suspense, but still! I’ll be giving out some info on it during Cry Sanctuary’s blog tour. :) So if you’re curious, stick around!
  • Shifter Town Enforcement #3, Big Cats Don’t Purr. This book might be the death of me. It’s been a long progress, made even longer because these characters don’t know how to stay to their original plotline and like to make me really work hard.
  • Hounded, Shifter Town Enforcement #1…re-edited. I hired a new editor for Cry Sanctuary, and so have paid to have Hounded go through the fabulous Faith Freewoman as well.

Coming in the Future:

  • Wild Rut, a novella I sold last November to a publisher was just released back to me. The publisher had to close up, so the novella is now mine again. I’ll be polishing it up, adding a bit to it, and then releasing it early next year. :) I’m very excited to have this back in my hands. It’s a fun little story I hope you all will enjoy.
  • Print editions for Hounded and Cry Sanctuary. I’m working on a few things on the business side of things before I format these, but they’re definitely getting closer. I plan on getting these out late October/early November. Afterwards, each novel will be released with a print book right along with the eBooks.
  • All Romance eBooks. I’m also working on formatting so I can start selling books there for those of you who prefer to shop there.

I’m going to try and do these posts monthly to keep this place up to date just in case I disappear into work again. But know that if I’m not here it’s because I’m working hard at getting you all the next book!
